WEBGUM EXPLAINED, SIMPLY

Clear expectations before you commit.

The final agreement will confirm what you're buying, what it costs and what happens if something changes.

Your website package

Your quotation lists the number of pages, agreed features, revision rounds, website care and any special requirements. We don't add work or charges without discussing them.

Your payment choice

Pay development upfront plus ongoing care, or choose monthly payments with no separate development fee and a 12-month minimum term. First monthly payment is due before development begins.

Your domain remains yours

You select and pay your domain registrar. WebGum helps connect the domain and looks after agreed hosting and care.

1. How a project starts

We provide a written scope and quotation. You review and accept the terms, supply the information requested and make the first required payment. We only begin development after successful payment verification when checkout is operational.

2. Content, images and accuracy

You confirm that you have permission to use all words, logos, images and other content you provide. You check business facts, opening hours, pricing and contact details before approval. Additional content preparation may require a quotation.

3. Design, revisions and approval

Your package specifies the pages and revision rounds included. A revision is a reasonable change within the agreed design scope, not an entirely new website. We present a preview for review, address the agreed changes and obtain approval before launch.

4. Payment and billing

Displayed examples are in AUD. Your quotation specifies the actual billing currency, applicable taxes, payment schedule and any third-party charges. Website packages exclude domain registration and renewal payments, which go directly to your chosen registrar.

5. Monthly plans and month 13

A monthly website package includes website creation without a separate development fee but requires a minimum 12-month agreement. The first monthly payment is payable before work starts. After the initial period the fee reduces to the ongoing hosting-and-care price described in your agreement.

6. Extra work and changes

Extra pages, major redesigns, online stores, complex bookings, custom integrations, data services and other items beyond the stated package are quoted separately. We explain the scope and price before starting such work.

7. Cancellation and service changes

Cancellation, any early-exit charge, payment failure procedure, service interruption, refunds and website handover must be clearly specified in the final agreement. These terms must comply with applicable laws and fair-contract requirements; there will be no surprise suspension without required notice.

8. Ownership and handover

You keep ownership of the domain and content rights you hold. Rights to the website design, source code, licences, portability and handover steps must be specifically defined in your final contract; do not assume all third-party services can be transferred unchanged.

9. Privacy and hosting region

Standard service does not promise that all processing remains within a nominated country. If you need special regional arrangements, ask before buying so we can assess feasibility and quote accordingly.

10. Legal review

This page is a readable explanation of proposed terms, not a final binding agreement. Formal contractual wording, local consumer rights, refunds, tax treatment, international services, data handling and service-level commitments need review before checkout is activated.
