No separate website build fee
You pay the first monthly amount before work begins. The subscription has a 12-month minimum commitment and the monthly price reduces to the hosting-and-care fee after that period.
Pay once for website creation
Pay the development fee and the first month of hosting and care at checkout. Then the ongoing hosting-and-care amount is charged each month.
What happens if a payment fails?
We will try to notify you using the email address on your account and explain how to update your payment method securely. We will not ask for your full payment-card details by email. If the payment remains unpaid, we will follow a documented reminder and notice process rather than switching off your website without warning.
As a proposed starting approach, we would send an initial notice, allow a reasonable opportunity to fix payment details and explain any service consequences in advance. Exact timing and rights must be confirmed in the signed agreement and checked against applicable law before enforcement.
What if you want to cancel?
Let us know by email. We will acknowledge your request, explain the agreed end date, any lawfully payable amounts and what happens to hosting. A 12-month plan is an agreed minimum service period, not a promise that every future payment can always be collected.
Any early-exit charge must be clearly stated in advance, proportionate and lawful. We will not present unfair or undisclosed charges as automatic penalties. Applicable consumer guarantees and statutory rights are not excluded.
What happens to your domain?
Your domain remains yours. You pay your chosen registrar directly, and a WebGum subscription cancellation does not transfer ownership of your domain to us.
If you leave WebGum, we will explain the steps to point your domain to another provider. Website files, editable source code, third-party licences and handover options depend on the rights expressly set out in your final service agreement.
Will my website stop working immediately?
No automatic suspension should happen without the notice and process required by the service agreement and applicable law. Any eventual suspension must be subject to appropriate notice, dispute handling and a practical opportunity to export or transfer permitted website content.
What about refunds and service problems?
We will consider the stage of work, the written agreement and the rights you have under relevant consumer law. A no-refund statement must not remove statutory rights. If you believe the service was not delivered as agreed, contact info@webgum.au with the order reference so we can review it.
Currency, taxes and receipts
Displayed website prices are in AUD. The checkout and agreement must show the final billing currency and any applicable taxes before payment. Domain charges, payment-provider currency conversion and optional third-party services are not included unless expressly quoted. We will make payment confirmations and appropriate payment-provider receipts available after a verified transaction.
Launch condition: This page is currently a customer-friendly policy draft. Final terms, notices, early-exit treatment, consumer rights, local taxes and renewal procedures require legal and operational approval before live purchases are enabled.
